My Friend Ted is a podcast about, well, my friend Ted.
Ted was diagnosed with ALS when he was in his mid 50’s. It takes an extremely brave person to share their thoughts and feelings about living with a fatal disease for which there is no cure.
Every time we sat down to record an episode, I was humbled by Ted’s capacity to keep looking forward, his will to adapt, and his sense of humour.
The last episode “The Lines Behind Me” was produced just a few days before he died on April 6, 2020. Ted was 57.
This podcast won an AVA Digital Award and a Gold Hermes Award and was nominated in the 2021 Webby Awards documentary podcast category.
